Also, here's the recipe for those peanut butter Rice Krispie treat blobs I made:1 C. sugar
1 C. corn syrup
1 1/2 cups peanut butter
1 t. vanilla
4 C. Rice Krispies
Melt the sugar and corn syrup (I did this in a pot on the stove over medium low heat). Then add the peanut butter and vanilla and stir until it's all mixed together. Then add the Rice Krispies and stir. This mixture is so good when it's still warm. YUM! You can then put it in a 9x13 pan if you want (they're pretty good if you put melted chocolate on top too), but I just used 2 spoons to shape them into the little blobs and put them on wax paper on a cookie sheet. I like this recipe because it's easy to make a half batch too! :) Enjoy!
Side note: I made the ones I brought up there with reduced fat peanut butter. They were pretty good, but I like the ones with real peanut butter better (why does that not surprise me?) :) The ones with real peanut butter mixed up a little easier and just turned out more soft and chewy. But it is nice to know that the reduced fat PB still works pretty well and tastes pretty good.
Yeah! Peanut Butter Crispy Blobs!! I can't wait to make some! P.s. your pictures look good. I love the one of the elk, taken behind the tree.
